Hi, Mary.. I thought I'd send a picture of David so you could see the results of all our hard work (your company included). The Merry Walker has played a big part in his recovery & we are hoping he will eventually not need the Walker in the not-so-far future.
Thank you for the fast service and assistance you gave recently in replacing the seat with the reinforced one...it made a huge difference in keeping this special guy ambulatory as we were worried he would forget he could walk if he didn't have the Walker for an extended period of time.
Again.. thanks for your help!
Redwood Place's Merry Walker Success
A 26-year-old client at Redwood Place with mitochondrial myopathy, a muscular disorder, was falling frequently despite using a walker. In refusing to just put her in a wheel chair, the Director of Nursing, Dawn Villa, looked into a Merry Walker from a company in Mundelein, Illinois.
The Merry Walker was invented by Mary Harroun, a former social worker who spent fifteen years in the long-term care field working with elderly clients. The Merry Walker folds, is small in size, bottom-weighted, and does not breakdown through continual use.
With the help of family, the client at Redwood Place was able to purchase a Merry Walker and is now much more independent with her walking--she has not fallen once since she began using it and her quality of life has drastically improved.
HELLO MARY!, I want to thank you and tell you about the progress my mother in law has had with your chair! To see her happy face the first time she used it, I can tell you that your chair is worth every penny it costs! We are happy we found YOUR CHAIR on the internet, and that, coming from a 90 year old Cuban guy is a VERY big compliment THANKS AGAIN!
